St. John Primary and St. Theresa School are the member schools of the East Asension/East Iberville Regional Catholic School Partnership formed in 2005. This partnership was promulgated by the Most Reverend Bishop Robert W. Muench of the Diocese of Baton Rouge. The EA/EI Partnership is comprised of the parents of the two member schools and the following nine church parishes: Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, St. Anne, St. Anthony, St. Gabriel, St. John the Evangelist, St. Joseph the Worker, St. Mark, St. Stephen and St. Theresa of Avila.
St. John Primary currently educates pre-kindergarten through second grades, while St. Theresa School is responsible for the education of third through eighth grades. The addition of third grade to St. John Primary will be complete in the fall of 2012.
The mission at St. John Primary and St. Theresa School is to serve one another through Catholic values as we strive for spiritual growth and academic excellence.
We, the administration, faculty and staff of St. John Primary School and St. Theresa School, are committed to the religious and academic education of each child to his or her full potential. We are in partnership with the parents, the primary educators of their child, to guide each child in experiencing instruction that promotes acceptance, tolerance, love, individuality, inquiry, and success.
The child should assume responsibility for learning, understanding that education is a lifelong process.
Our ultimate goal is to continue our faith in order to achieve eternal salvation. Our school community strives to live the gospel of Jesus Christ through worship and service.
