SEE YOU AT THE POLE 2019 : IF . . .
Global Week of Student Prayer
Sept 22 - Sept 28
It's about one simple thing—STUDENTS in PRAYER.
On Wednesday, September 25, 2019. All are invited to join us as God’s Warriors leads us in prayer at St. Theresa Middle's flagpole at 7 am.
2019-20 Student Ministers Announced
Just as Jesus chose His 12 apostles to help Him spread the Good News, we also chose 12 student ministers to lead the God’s Warriors Club this year. Student ministers assume a leadership role by organizing meetings, planning skits and activities, planning prayer services, helping with our Faith-filled Fridays, helping to keep Club records, and working closely with the Club sponsors. We are excited to announce the God’s Warriors Student Ministers for the 2019-20 School Year: Emma Bonney, Laneigh Breaux, Caitlyn Callais, Natalie Cavalier, Reed James, Katie Belle Klumpp, Samantha Landaiche, Scott Ledet, Olivia Navarro, Luke Reulet, Elise Stafford, and Thelma Toussant
SMHS Shadow Day
The very first Shadow Day of the year was held September 12. Through Catholic formation, St. Michael builds on a student's spiritual foundation by providing a modern and inclusive campus experience where students enjoy smaller class sizes that nurture their God-given talents.

St. John Primary/ St. Theresa Middle Technology Updates
Last year, the administrative team as well as the IT department began dreaming about implementing a 1:1 technology initiative that would bring our students closer to being college and career ready. This week those dreams became a reality as students on both campuses walked into classrooms that were equipped with laptops and iPads for instructional use.
Teachers and students worked hard this summer to ensure that they would be ready. Pk-8th grade teachers were trained by Apple and Google certified trainers from AXI Educational Solutions. Our 6th-8th grade teacher training focused on Google Suites for Education and Google Classroom while our Pk-5th grade teacher training focused on effective iPad usage and instructional apps such as Seesaw and Apple Classroom.
Our students also were trained during summer training sessions. These sessions included procedures for proper laptop care, troubleshooting, and an introduction to the Chrome Browser.
Students this week on both campuses have been seen using iPads and laptops to collaborate and create. We are looking forward to watching our teachers and students grow in their knowledge this year!
