Student Council is a privilege and a responsibility that requires leadership and organizational skills because it is a student directed club. This outstanding club helps with many school activities throughout the year, interacting with fellow students, the faculty and the community. Student representatives are elected by their classmates in each homeroom in grades 5-8. Once all representatives are chosen, they elect officers from among themselves to lead the club for the year. Some of the many events Student Council is involved in include Fall Relays, Veterans Day celebrations, Brett-and-Brett Tournament, Grandparents Day, poinsettias sales, Red Ribbon/Drug Awareness Week, Teacher Appreciation Week, and many other services needed throughout the school year.
