cheerleaders

The purpose of cheerleading squads at St. Theresa is to promote and uphold school spirit, promote good sportsmanship, and lead spectators in cheering at basketball games, football games and pep rallies. In addition to cheering, responsibilities also include helping plan and prepare for pep rallies, helping choose and sponsor a fundraiser each year, and helping sponsor the yearly "Hour of Prayer" silent prayer and meditation service held at St. Theresa of Avila Church.

St. Theresa has two cheerleading squads, and students in grades 6th-8th may participate. The cheerleading season runs September through February. Tryouts are held in the spring of the previous year. You must have a 2.0 GPA and 81% C in conduct from the previous 9 weeks to try out.
